Once again, the Joe Davies Folk Festival and Soule Homestead are looking for emerging folk and acoustic artists ready to take the next step in their performances.

Performers 11 to 17 years old will be showcased on Saturday, July 26, 2008 |

Performers 18 and up will be showcased on Saturday, August 23, 2008 |
The winning performer from each showcase will have the opportunity to perform a 25 minute set at the Joe Davies Folk Festival on September 20 and 21 2008
Here is the fine print:
| This is a juried selection. Your application does not guarantee a slot. |
| Submit a CD with two recorded pieces no more than five minutes each. |
| Your CD must be representative of your live performance. |
| Each submission should have lyric sheets and contact information |
| All submissions must be original material |
| Finalists in each category will perform a 25 minute set. |
| The showcases may be video and/or audio recorded to promote the Summer Concert Series and Joe Davies Folk Festival. Finalists will receive specific details and release forms with their acceptance. |
Submissions must be received by May 30, 2008. Be sure to let us know if you are applying to the Young Emerging Artists (11 to 17) Showcase on July 26 or the Emerging Artists Showcase (18+) on August 23. Send submissions to:

The five finalists in each category will be notified on June 30, 2008. Judging is based on songwriting and performance abilities.
