- Saturday, January 7 - Rug Braiding Workshops - 10:30am to 12:30pm
- All skill levels are invited to participate as Mary Guidoboni teaches the art of rug braiding. Students will learn how to hand-braid wool from old blankets, skirts, coats, etc. and will enjoy making them into beautiful rugs and household accessories. Bring scissors, needles, thread and wool materials if you have them (an assortment of wool is available for a small donation). $8 Members / $10 Non-Members per session (returning students may pay $5 per session)

- FREE Family Fun Event - A guided tour to explore Soule’s various habitats, farm animals, and gardens while on an alphabet scavenger hunt! Rain Date: Saturday, January 14th, 12 – 1pm
- Monday, January 9 – “Spinners with Soul” meeting – 7:00pm

- Basket weavers and volunteers of all skill levels are invited to make baskets for the Soule Homestead Education Center. Sue Anderson will guide the group using basic patterns and techniques. Different projects are planned each month (details available upon registration). Participants will have the option to purchase their completed basket and additional kits for a nominal fee (kits range in price from $6 to $24). Baskets left at Soule will be displayed for sale at cultural events throughout the year. Tools, soaking bins and water are provided for use by the instructor. Please let us know if you will be participating.

- Saturday, January 21 – Pottery Workshop – 9:00am to 12:00pm
- Have you every wanted a chance to try the potter’s wheel? This is the workshop for you. You will also have an opportunity to complete a hand built project, such as a plaque or soap dish. This workshop is limited to six participants. Please wear clothes you’re willing to get dirty. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members and includes clay, glaze, and firing of your pieces. The course will be offered again on Saturday, March 17 from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

- Join instructor Judy Rolt of J & J Quilts to work on beginner or advanced projects. Bring your own sewing machine, fabric and supplies (an assortment of fabric is available for a small donation). A different project theme is planned each month. Patterns, details and fabric requirements for each will be given upon registration. Workshop fee: $15 Members / $20 Non-Members.

- Saturday, February 11 – Heart & Soule Valentines Dance – 7:00 to 11pm
- Join us for our annual fund raising dance at the Middleboro Town Hall. “Dale & The Duds” will provide hours of old time rock & roll musical entertainment. Along with raffles, there will be refreshments and a cash bar. Tickets are $20 per person, seating is limited. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Purchase advance tickets until Thursday, February 9th, at Soule Homestead and the following Middleboro businesses: Mack’s Music, Maria’s Cards & Gifts, and Mary Barry Massage.
