Sat. June 7th – Chair Caning – 9:30am to 1:30pm  Join Susan Anderson of Homestead Seatweaving & Basketry as you learn the art of Chair Caning, Seatweaving or Wicker Repair.  Material & Chairs are extra. You can purchase them from Sue or bring your own.  Don’t forget to bring a lunch.  $15 Members/$20 Non-members.

Sat., June 14th -  Basket Weaving – 9:30am to 2:30pm  Join Susan Anderson of Homestead Seatweaving & Basketry as you make a Bushel Basket.  Just bring a lunch, as all materials are included.  Class size is limited so call early to register. $22 Members/$25 Non-members.

Sat, June 14th – Landscape Painting – 9:30am to 12:30pm - Rick Murphy will host a Landscape Painting workshop.  Rick will guide beginners in a basic drawing of the scene, blocking larger areas of light & dark and working final details and colors.  Rick has been painting for more than 35 years and has plenty to share with experienced artists as well.  Bring your materials and enjoy the morning.  If you’d like to learn but don’t have your own materials, limited amounts are available at cost.  $15 Members/$20 Non-members. Rain date June 15th.

Sat., June 28th – Quilting Workshop - 9am to 3pm.  Join Judy Rolt as she teaches beginners and experienced quilters alike.  Work on your own project or learn a new one.  It’s a chance to learn new techniques & skills.  Bring a lunch, your own machine and materials or use our materials.  $15 Members/$20 Non-members.

Tues. July 1st – Lose 5000 Lbs. –The Carbonless Diet – 7:30 to 9pm  Join Mary Farrell as we learn about our carbon footprints. Calculate your footprint. Learn how to make simple daily changes to conserve energy, resources and money without cramping your style. This timely workshop can make a leaner, greener, you in just a month! $5 donation PP

Sat, August 2, 9, & 16 – Rug Braiding – 10:00am to Noon Join Mary Guidoboni for this three-part workshop as she teaches you the lost art of hand braided rug making.  You will enjoy seeing your old wool blankets, skirts, coats, etc., made into beautiful braided rugs.  If you have wool material bring it or make a small donation and use ours.  The one time fee for this three-part class is $20 Members/$25 Non-members. Returning braiders may join any class for $5 / week. Please call and register.

Sat., August 16th – Bee Keeping – 9:30 to 12 pm.  Join Fred Carlsen, Vice President of Plymouth County Bee Keepers Association as he introduces you to Bee Keeping.  Beginners will learn the basics of hive set up & honey extraction. Advanced beekeepers can tap Fred’s extensive experience.  $25 Members / $30 Non-Members.
